Purposes

Board Ripple exists to help volunteer boards at PTAs, PTOs, and booster clubs run their operations, budgeting, reimbursements, events, receipts and documents, board handoff. We use the information you provide only to deliver those features to your organization.

Categories of information

• Account profile (name, email, optional phone and avatar).
• Organization data (name, school context, roles, membership settings).
• Financial records you enter (budgets, transactions, reimbursements).
• Receipts and event documents you upload.
• Audit records for privileged actions (approvals, rejections, deletions).

Processors and infrastructure

Board Ripple runs on managed cloud infrastructure and uses standard sub-processors for hosting, database, authentication, and file storage. A current sub-processor list is available on request.

Retention and deletion

Data persists while your organization uses Board Ripple. Each organization's President can configure a retention policy from Settings, this policy describes intended retention windows (financial and audit records default to approximately seven years; account-deletion staging defaults to thirty days). It is not an automated deletion job: Board Ripple does not currently perform scheduled destructive cleanup. To request export or deletion of records associated with you or your organization, contact hello@boardripple.com from an address associated with the account; support verifies your identity before completing the request. Financial audit records may be retained where required for the integrity of the ledger.

Security limitations

Board Ripple applies role-based access controls, organization scoping, and server-side authorization for privileged transitions. No online service can promise absolute security. We do not claim any specific security certification on this page.

Children and school context

Board Ripple is designed to be used by adult volunteers and staff associated with a school-affiliated organization. It is not directed at children and does not intentionally collect information from children. We do not claim compliance with FERPA or COPPA; consult your organization's counsel about any data your board records here.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information by contacting hello@boardripple.com. Signed-in members can start these requests from Settings → Your data; automated one-click export and deletion are not yet available, so we complete verified requests manually within a reasonable timeframe. Members can also leave their organization at any time from Settings → Danger zone.
